  • Maintain all mold and process optimization documentation in Molex E-Doc for traceability and reference.
  • Inspect first part trial conditions against product drawing specifications, submit for internal qualification, and implement corrective measures for dimensional issues in conjunction with Mold and Product Designers.
  • Document initial debugging issues and process troubleshooting to facilitate smooth mold handover to the Production team.
  • Handle qualification and debugging for new materials.
  • Support production by driving tooling improvements such as refurbishment and process optimization to reduce product costs and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Manage vendors in the development and implementation of tooling for existing and new products.
  • Provide technical support for mold-related tooling issues at vendor locations.
  • Actively support and contribute to Molex's Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, ISO standards, and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) management systems by adhering to company policies and procedures.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in molding process and tooling.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate and share knowledge across teams.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Engineering background specifically related to molding process and technical drawing knowledge.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in mold process and tooling troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with 3D Modeling Design software such as NX or equivalent (2D and 3D).
  • Experience with connector mold design and connector molding processes.
  • Understanding of tooling design, specifications, assembly, and troubleshooting.
