Role Summary
We are looking for individuals with expertise in video editing software, storytelling techniques and visual effects shape the final look and feel of each final product. Attention to detail, strong communication skills and a passion for visual storytelling are helpful characteristics to apply in this field.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience producing and editing high-impact video content, ideally within wellness, education, healthcare, or mission-driven organisations
- Relevant degree or diploma. Consider enrolling in a film production, media studies or multimedia design-related degree program for a solid grounding in video editing techniques, storytelling principles, and industry-standard software
- Proficient in AI-assisted video editing tools to enhance efficiency, storytelling, captioning, and multi-platform content delivery
- Experience in Assistant Video Editor, Production Assistant or Video Production
- Familiar with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Compose to learn colour grading, audio editing, visual effects and motion graphics that may elevate the quality of your edits
- Provide your portfolio showcasing your best work. Include various video projects that demonstrate your creativity, technical skill set, and ability to tell captivating visual stories through images
- Up to date with the latest techniques, software updates, and workshops in video editing
Task and Duties
- Organising and managing raw footage, audio files, and other media assets
- Assembling and editing video footage to create a cohesive and compelling story
- Trimming, rearranging, and refining video sequences to enhance flow and pacing
- Incorporating visual effects, graphics, and animations to enhance the overall visual appeal
- Collaborating with Directors, Producers, and clients to understand their vision and requirements
- Selecting and incorporating suitable music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the narrative
- Continuously reviewing and improving edited videos based on feedback and creative direction
- Planning creative content
- Prepare a creatively logical storyboard and shoot the most effective scenes
- Capture studio-quality photographs and video
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and contribution to continuity
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Writing voiceover/ commentary
- Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing
- Work with Ibnu Sina Wellness creative teammates
- Regularly collaborate with marketing team
- Follow the Ibnu Sina Wellness's brand guidelines
- Create rough and final cuts
- Discuss project timeline, narrative structure, story goals and more with the Brand Manager as the project is edited
- Present to Brand Manager and Chairwoman
- Develop an overall video brand messaging strategy.
