Job Description
A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Service Manager at MKS Malaysia, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Repair Service Department. In this role, you will report to the Director, Tech Support & Service Operations.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Repair Service Department.
- Ensure adherence to cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Enforce standardized procedures and methods across all global Service Depots.
- Lead and sustain the Lean Program to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage parts inventory, availability, and usage efficiency.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and gather feedback to optimize service performance.
- Ensure adequate phone coverage and responsiveness for customer support.
- Oversee timely billing processes and resolution of customer inquiries.
- Select, develop, and evaluate team members to ensure functional excellence.
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience in service operations, repair management, or a similar role.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Ability to sit, stand, and type for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally handle objects exceeding 100 lbs.
- Regular manual dexterity and coordination required for tasks at various heights.
- Ability to remain stationary approximately 20% of the time.
- Frequent movement and positioning to access equipment and materials.
- Clear communication skills for conveying and receiving information effectively.
- Work conducted in a KD Research Lab and/or field/manufacturing environment.
- Regular use of computers and office equipment.
- Visual acuity to observe documents and components at close range.
- Commitment to safety protocols, especially when handling mechanical/electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.
- Typical noise levels consistent with a manufacturing or lab environment.
