Sales Manager - Mining

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of electrifications, automation and digital solution & services within a designated Cement and Mineral processing industries, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

The work model for the role is : #LI- Hybrid

This role is contributing to the driving service sales strategy of ABB's Cement and Mineral processing portfolio in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Main stakeholders are Cement and Mineral processing customers and internal Mining and Materials stakeholders.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Develop and execute service sales plans, manage key accounts, and generate new leads
  • Conduct techno-commercial negotiations, track project progress, and ensure alignment with ABB's strategy.
  • Provide clear updates on delivery schedules, payments, and contractual terms while presenting ABB's value proposition.
  • Identify new market opportunities, execute efficient marketing activities, and support administrative processes including cash collection and project management.

Qualifications for the role
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant sales and marketing experience, preferably in industrial or engineering sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Automation, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
  • Proven ability to drive sales strategies, manage customer relationships, and generate new business leads.
  • Strong skills in techno-commercial negotiations and closing complex deals.
  • Experience in project tracking and management, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage customers on delivery timelines, payments, and contractual terms.
  • Ability to support marketing activities, cash collection, and administrative sales processes, while identifying new market opportunities.
