About The Role

This role will oversee shift production operations to meet output, quality, safety, and compliance targets by optimizing line performance, supervising manpower, enforcing GMP/EHS standards, and coordinating with QA on issues and corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor daily production plans according to schedule and customer requirements.
  • Ensure lines operate at optimum performance to achieve target output, OEE, and yield.
  • Monitor machine utilization, changeovers, and downtime; escalate critical issues promptly.
  • Ensure proper documentation of production reports, logbooks, and SAP/INTELEX transactions.
  • Enforce compliance with GMP, HACCP, CCP monitoring, hygiene, and allergen control.
  • Verify product quality parameters, batch records, and process checks.
  • Manage nonconformance handling hold, rework, segregation, and reporting.
  • Work closely with QA on deviations, corrective actions, and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Supervise all operators, line leaders, contract workers, and forklift drivers during the shift.
  • Ensure adequate manpower allocation across all lines and activities.
  • Conduct onthejob training for new staff and refreshers for SOP updates.
  • Maintain discipline, attendance, safety behaviour, and adherence to work instructions.
  • Enforce adherence to all EHS rules, lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE compliance, and incident reporting.
  • Conduct shift safety walkabouts and rectify unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Lead initial response for emergencies, spills, or equipment failures.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Preferably a minimum of 25 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • INTELEX/SAP knowledge is an advantage.
