Responsibilities we entrust you with:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions using AWS, SPOT, Kubernetes.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of AWS resources.
- Proficiency in managing AWS services, including EC2, ECS, EKS, ASG, Spot Instances, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability metrics, and take proactive measures to ensure optimal performance and cloud security.
- Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the SIEM platform (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, ELK Stack) to collect, analyse, and correlate security event data.
- Develop and maintain automated processes for deployment, configuration, and infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with solution architecture and development teams to improve system architecture, reliability, and scalability.
- Optimize infrastructure costs by leveraging AWS Spot Instances and implementing efficient resource allocation strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
- Continuously research and evaluate new technologies to improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and standards, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including compliance policies, procedures, and audit trails, to support compliance efforts.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
What matters in the role :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure management and deployment using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in programming and automation with languages like Python, Ruby, or Java.
- Extensive experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools like Github Action, ArgoCD
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Datadog, Splunk, ELK Stack, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) and Kubernetes certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CRISC, AWS Security Specialty) are a plus.
- Excellent leadership and mentorship skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working in Software Development Life Cycle environment such as agile or scrum is an advantage
