The Job
- Fully in-charge and manage safety, health and environment section in the Company and subsidiaries companies.
- To advise management on the requirements of Safety, Health & Environmental related matters and ensure compliance to current regulations such as Environmental ACT, FMA, DOSH, DOE and other related safety regulations
- To assist the employer on regulation 11 of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996 [P. U.(A) 616/96] in organizing and
Responsibilities
- To investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning or occupational diseases and report to the management.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and recommend necessary improvements
- Implementing occupational safety and health programs at the place of work.
- Ensure compliance: ensure the organization is compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- To maintain the implementation of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
- Conduct Safety and Health briefing for staff, workers, vendors and clients.
- Provide safety guidance and training for in-house and site employees.
- Oversee safety compliance at site work and attend meeting with clients
Requirements
- SHO certificate from NIOSH with minimum diploma in Health & safety or its equivalent
- Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH. Green Book holder.
- Familiar with Malaysia HSE legal requirements such as OHSA 1994 Act, Factory and Machinery Act with regulations, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001.
- Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing environment, Construction industry or related field
- Computer literate and with good spoken & written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Able to conduct Safety & Health internal training
