Smart COBOL Senior Developer (Policy Asia System) - 1 year contract renewable – based in Kuala LumpurKey Responsibilities:

• Provide development/enhancement, maintenance, and production support for the Policy Asia system.
• Analyse business requirements, assess system impacts and provide appropriate technical solutions.
• Support and maintain General Insurance products and related business functionalities.
• Perform detailed analysis of system problems and recommend effective solutions.
• Ensure solutions are robust, maintainable and aligned with business requirements and system standards.
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on Smart COBOL development experience with the Policy Asia system.
• Strong Smart COBOL, SQL/DB2 development experience.
• Strong experience in General Insurance (GI) applications and business processes.
• Good understanding of system integration and data flows within Policy Asia.
• Good understanding of the SDLC, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support.
  
  

Functional Knowledge:

Strong functional knowledge of General Insurance products and processes, including:

• Policy administration
• Debtor / receivables
• Claims
• Underwriting (UW)
• Accounting
  
  

The salary for this position is up to RM 12,000.
