Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media & KOL Marketing Specialist to build Anker's brand presence across Malaysia's social media landscape. You will own our social media strategy, manage KOL/influencer partnerships, and create engaging content that resonates with Malaysian consumers — driving brand awareness, community growth, and sales conversion.

This is a unique opportunity to be the voice of Anker in Malaysia, shaping how millions of consumers discover and connect with our brand through social platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Strategy & Management

  • Develop and execute social media strategies across key platforms in Malaysia (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Shopee Live, Lazada Live)
  • Manage Anker Malaysia's official social media accounts — content planning, posting schedules, community engagement, and performance tracking
  • Create platform-specific content strategies that align with local trends, cultural moments, and consumer behaviour

2. KOL & Influencer Marketing

  • Build and maintain a KOL/influencer database across tech, lifestyle, gaming, and home & living verticals in Malaysia
  • Identify, negotiate with, and manage end-to-end relationships with macro, mid-tier, and micro KOLs for campaign execution
  • Develop creative briefs, manage deliverables, and track ROI of KOL collaborations (reach, engagement, conversion, sales attribution)
  • Plan and execute live streaming campaigns on TikTok Shop, Shopee Live, and Lazada Live with top KOLs

3. Content Creation & Campaign Execution

  • Collaborate with regional creative teams and local agencies to produce high-quality social content (short-form video, graphics, copywriting)
  • Lead end-to-end execution of social media campaigns — from ideation and creative development to launch, real-time optimisation, and post-campaign reporting
  • Coordinate product seeding and review programs with key tech reviewers and lifestyle creators

4. Performance Analytics & Optimisation

  • Monitor social media KPIs (follower growth, engagement rate, reach, sentiment, conversion rate) and provide weekly/monthly performance reports
  • Use data insights to continuously optimise content strategy, posting cadence, and KOL selection
  • Track competitor social media activity and industry trends in Malaysia's consumer electronics space
  • Manage social media advertising budgets (paid social, KOL boosting) for maximum ROI

5. Community Building & Brand Advocacy

  • Build and nurture Anker's brand community in Malaysia through user-generated content campaigns, loyalty programs, and social engagement
  • Manage social customer care — respond to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and brand-consistent manner
  • Identify brand advocates and superfans, and develop community-led growth initiatives

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, KOL/influencer management, or digital marketing — preferably within consumer electronics, tech brands, or e-commerce
  • Proven track record of managing successful KOL campaigns in Malaysia with measurable results (please share case studies or portfolio)
  • Deep understanding of Malaysia's social media landscape — platform algorithms, content trends, and KOL ecosystem across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to adapt tone and voice for different platforms and audiences
  • Data-driven mindset — comfortable with analytics tools, social media dashboards, and campaign performance reporting
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Creative thinking with a pulse on the latest social media trends and pop culture

Preferred

  • Experience with live commerce (TikTok Shop, Shopee Live, Lazada Live) and social commerce strategies
  • Existing network of KOL relationships in Malaysia's tech, lifestyle, and gaming communities
  • Experience with social media advertising (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, YouTube Ads)
  • Mandarin proficiency for cross-regional collaboration
  • Experience working with global or regional brand teams
  • Familiarity with consumer electronics or mobile accessories category
