Founded in 2020, JX Fundamentals is a Penang-based boutique gym that helps people stay active and enjoy their sports pain-free. Our founders understand firsthand the frustration of being sidelined by injuries, and this experience fuels our mission to help people move, train, and live without compromise.

We empower individuals to reclaim their health and movement freedom through personal training, group classes, sports and massage therapy, and nutrition consultation services.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a creative and driven Social Media Intern to join our growing team. You'll play an active role in shaping how JX Fundamentals connects with our community.

As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will:

• Manage and grow our social channels by planning, scheduling, and publishing content across Instagram and our newsletter

• Craft meaningful stories that translate our gym culture, member journeys, and educational insights into engaging content

• Coordinate campaigns with trainers and operations teams to roll out promotions, challenges, and workshops

• Track performance and support basic reporting on engagement, reach, and campaign results

This internship offers hands-on learning in brand storytelling, fitness marketing, and community engagement, with potential to grow into a full-time role.

WHO YOU ARE

• A strong communicator with an eye for visual storytelling

• Familiar with social media tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, and Meta Suite

• Passionate about fitness, wellness, and helping people live active, pain-free lives

• Self-motivated, curious, and open to feedback

Bonus if you:

• Enjoy being part of an active lifestyle community

• Have experience creating Reels, TikToks, or short-form content

• Have experience with newsletter marketing funnels

COMPENSATION & PERFORMANCE INCENTIVES

• This is an unpaid internship focused on hands-on learning in fitness marketing and community building

• Interns may earn performance-based commissions tied to campaign outcomes such as leads generated, trial sign-ups, and new member conversions

• Interns will be paid for attending in-person events, workshops, or corporate campaigns they support

• Commission structures and tracking methods will be communicated clearly before each campaign

This role is best suited for individuals who want to build real-world marketing skills and are motivated by learning, ownership, and performance-based rewards.
