Software Development Engineer - 2 (Fullstack)

As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing the ideal backend system architecture, addressing customer pain points, and contributing to the overall success of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Architecture: Develop an ideal system architecture to solve problems efficiently. Create strategic plans to achieve the long-term vision while delivering shorter-term solutions that provide immediate value to our customers
• Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand their pain points. Collaborate on brainstorming sessions to devise innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience
• Critical Thinking: Apply critical thinking to problem-solving, starting from the ground up. Challenge existing solutions and propose novel approaches free from bias
  
  

What We're Seeking:

• 3+ years of relevant full-time professional experience building full-stack systems
• Strong experience with React.js, ReactQuery and state management (Zustand or equivalent)
• Experience building backend services using Python fastAPI
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• Strong grasp of web fundamentals (HTTP, REST APIs, browser behavior, performance)
• Ability to independently own tasks and drive them to completion
• Strong problem-solving skills with a first-principles mindset
  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Familiarity with DBT, analytics pipelines, or data-heavy systems
• Exposure to AI/ML-driven products or data platforms
• Experience working in early-stage startups or fast-paced environments
• Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and accessibility best practices
