SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Software Development Manager will play a pivotal position to drive the company digital transformation by initiating new technology and application solutions and assist businesses in process transformation. Under the direct responsibility of Head of IT, IT Solution Architect is responsible to:
- Keep up to date with the technology stack
- Work with Data Architect and Infrastructure team as gate keeper to the overall IT landscape that will meet the business and organization digital ambition as defined in the IT landscape
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take ownership of the full software architecture across web, mobile, backend, and APIs making sure everything fits together smoothly.
- Plan and allocate development tasks based on your team's strengths, so the right people are working on the right things and getting them done on time and with great quality.
- Ensure all development work whether done in-house or by vendors meets high standards and supports our broader digital transformation goals.
- Work closely with third-party vendors and tech partners from evaluating new ones to managing existing relationships for ongoing projects.
- Get involved early in projects to help gather and shape technical requirements, especially when we're integrating with other systems.
- Lead by example: support your team's growth, help them hit their goals, and guide their upskilling and development.
- Bring your technical expertise to the table when it comes to design decisions, development practices, and ensuring we build the right solutions.
- Define and maintain the development standards including frameworks, languages, documentation practices, and release processes.
- Keep our technical documentation in check including architecture diagrams, integration plans, and design specs so everything stays clear and aligned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
- 5-8 years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in a solution architecture role
SKILLS:
- Demonstrated success in system architecture and solution design, including performance optimization and scalability considerations.
- Proven experience in system architecture and design.
- Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) for backend architecture and application design.
- Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL); knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with any mobile app development. (Native or hybrid)
- Experience with API design and integration., e.g. REST, SOAP
- Working experience with any cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
