Job Description

Google Pay now serves over 250M users in India. Our Singapore-based team is the engine behind many of the India Consumer app's core features. We own the end-to-end reliability and growth for critical user surfaces, driving both engagement and multi-million dollar revenue streams.
In this role, you will be expected to build and own entire user flows in the app with a focus on performance, latency and reliability of the stack.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with full stack development, across the back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience building systems that scale to millions of users globally.
- Mobile app, full-stack or back-end development experience.
- Working effectively with cross team members to drive features end-to-end.

Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
