Purpose of the Role: As a Java Software Engineer, your will be responsible at the forefront of developing and delivering banking technology solutions. You will work closely with our banking clients to gather requirements, design customized solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of our products and services.
Responsibilities:-
- Assesses the integration documentation provided by client.
- Develops code with low-latency, clear and concise practices in development.
- Capable of articulate on the entirety view from technical perspective.
- Supports and troubleshoot for any technical issues arisen.
- Configures solution into client's environment.
- Deploys customized solution into client's testing environments for verification.
- Engages with client's IT personnel on infra, environment matters.
- Capable of guiding client's IT personnel on technical aspects.
- Provide 1st / 2nd level production support on issues raised by client.
- Implementing project abroad, depending on the project assignment.
- Comply with client's data confidentiality policy.
Qualification:-
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2-5 years and above) as a Java Developer/System Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within the banking technology vendor space.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, systems, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with core banking systems and financial software will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Java development framework, especially MVC Spring architecture and MySQL database is a MUST.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is a huge added advantage as this position will require communication with Shenzhen colleagues daily.
- This role requires traveling to the project site for project implementation.
- Proficiency in English (Mandarin is an advantage, especially for dealing with regional clients or development teams).
- Willingness to travel for onsite client engagements, if required.
