Software Tester

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to support testing activities for a banking system migration project. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating migrated data, executing SIT, UAT and Dress Rehearsal (DR) test scenarios, identifying and tracking defects, and ensuring data accuracy and system readiness prior to go-live.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Dress Rehearsal (DR) test cases for system migration activities.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.
• Validate migrated customer, product, financial, and transaction data for completeness and accuracy.
• Verify end-to-end business processes and scenarios following data/system migration.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or other defect management tools.
• Perform defect retesting and regression testing where required.
• Prepare and maintain test cases, test evidence, and testing documentation.
• Investigate data discrepancies and work with relevant technical and business teams to resolve issues.
• Support migration readiness activities and contribute to go-live preparation and Dress Rehearsal exercises.
• Ensure testing activities are completed according to project timelines and quality requirements.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of experience in QA, software testing, or a related testing role.
• Hands-on experience in SIT, UAT, and Dress Rehearsal (DR) execution.
• Proven experience in system/data migration testing.
• Experience in data validation, data reconciliation, and source-to-target comparison.
• Experience performing end-to-end scenario testing.
• Familiarity with JIRA or similar defect management tools.
• Good understanding of defect lifecycle and testing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business, technical, and project teams.
• Banking or Cards domain experience is an advantage.
• Candidates must be Malaysian citizens and willing to work onsite in Kuala Lumpur.
