Software Testing Engineer

Job Description:

1.    Utilize testing facilities for manual and automated testing, including client-side testing and application testing for Android /Linux// Windows systems.

2.    Perform function testing and stability testing for Ikotek's prototype solutions, and support field testing based on customer's application requirements.

3.    Give a quick response to customer's questions and requirements related to software testing, being prepared for field testing and technical support to Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

4.    Work on customer-related and internal R&D projects, and provide technical support for customers or colleagues from other departments of the company.

5.    Be familiar in basic software testing technologies; customize test plans matching to customer's use scenarios; verify the rationality and reliability of Ikotek's product designs.

6.    Attend technical meetings to acquire customer's needs in software testing, and promptly synch the new requirements and negotiations with the R&D team.

7.    Provide technical support for Ikotek's full product line, including the devices related wireless communication, WIFI, Camera, NFC, Scan, Bluetooth (BLE), 5G, 4G, LTE, Google Mobile Services (GMS), and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS).

8.    Be responsible for troubleshooting, log analysis, and bug correction in lab or field environments.

 Requirements:

1.    Bachelor's degree or above in Computer, Communications or related fields.

2.    Five-year or above experience in lab testing, field testing, test plan formulation, test execution and log analysis.

3.    Excellent English written and spoken skills mature communication experience.

4.    Capability to adapt to diverse cultural and working environments, with a willingness to travel for work as need.

5.    Outstanding analyzing and troubleshooting skills, and be able to quickly find out common technical issues raised by customers.

6.    Ability to work independently, strong self-driven, with good teamwork spirit, strong sense of responsibility, innovative problem-solving skills, and easy to communicate and collaborate with.

7.    Work location: Penang.

8.    Possess teamwork awareness and time management ability.

Preferred Experience:

1.    Be familiar with AT command operations of wireless communication modules, and proficient in using log analysis tools (such as QXDM, QPST).

2.    Relevant R&D experience in PDA/POS/CPE/TRACKER/MIFI/Dash Camera.

3.    Be proficient in or familiar with one or more programming languages (Java, Python, etc.).
