Maqo Engineering Sdn Bhd is a fast-growing solar EPC company specializing in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Residential Solar PV projects across Malaysia.
We are looking for a hands-on Site Technician to support installation, troubleshooting, and site supervision activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Solar System Troubleshooting
- Perform basic and intermediate troubleshooting for solar PV systems
- Work under guidance of Senior Technical / Project Engineer to resolve system faults and performance issues
- Site Installation Support
- Assist in solar PV installation works including DC/AC cabling, inverter, mounting structure, and accessories
- Support site team during installation, testing, and commissioning stages
- Maintenance & Site Inspection
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections at existing solar sites
- Identify abnormalities, defects, or safety issues and report findings clearly
- Site Supervision
- Supervise solar installation works from site mobilization to completion
- Coordinate with subcontractors, installers, and internal site team
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, method statements, and safety requirements
- General Site & Electrical Support
- Handle other solar-related electrical issues at site
- Support project team in site coordination, testing, rectification, and handover activities
Requirements
- Diploma / Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Renewable Energy, or related field
- 03 years experience in solar PV installation, electrical works, or site execution
- Fresh graduates with strong interest in solar and site work are encouraged to apply
- Basic understanding of solar PV systems, electrical wiring, and safety practices
- Willing to work on sites and travel when required
- Able to follow instructions, learn on the job, and work as part of a team
- Possess own transport is an advantage
Additional certifications :
- CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia) - compulsory
- Wireman certification (if hands-on electrical work is involved) - optional
