About the Technology Division: Building the backbone of Malaysia's payment infrastructure. Led by Chief Technology Officer, Technology designs, evolves, and secures the always-on architecture that powers trusted, scalable digital payment services for the nation.

Role Summary:

The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and high-availability technology solutions that support business and platform objectives. The role works closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust system architectures and guide implementation across the technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design scalable, secure, and resilient system architectures aligned with business and technology strategies.

2. Translate business requirements into end-to-end technical solutions, including application, platform, and infrastructure architecture.

3. Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver high-quality and reliable technology solutions.

4. Assess existing systems and recommend architectural improvements, modernization initiatives, and performance enhancements.

5. Define architecture standards, best practices, and design principles across development teams.

6. Guide engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle and architecture implementation.

7. Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for performance, scalability, availability, and security.

8. Drive architectural governance including solution reviews, documentation, and technology evaluation.

9. Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where relevant to improve system capabilities.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

2. Minimum 812 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or architecture roles.

3. Experience designing enterprise-scale, high-availability platforms, preferably in banking, fintech, or telecommunications environments.

4. Strong understanding of distributed systems, system integration, and enterprise architecture.

Technical Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, preferably on AWS, and experience with containerized deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Solid experience with API security, token-based authentication, and secure session management.
• Competency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Golang, Java, Node.js, Python) and experience with modern system design patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture).
