About The Role
Strategic role responsible for partnering with business leaders to provide financial insights, drive performance, and support decision-making. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and identifying opportunities to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial guidance and strategic insights to support business objectives.
- Lead the preparation and review of budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans in collaboration with business units.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
- Support commercial decision-making through scenario modeling, investment appraisal, and business case development.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Drive financial accountability within the business by challenging assumptions and influencing decision-making.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management, highlighting financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Support change initiatives, process improvements, and implementation of financial best practices across the organization.
What You'll Need
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
- Professional qualification (CPA, CA, CIMA, ACCA) highly desirable.
Communication Skills
- Strong ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to challenge and negotiate effectively while maintaining strong partnerships.
Financial Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. Strong commercial acumen with experience in business case development and investment appraisal. Knowledge of GAAP and compliance requirements.
Reasoning Ability
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex data, identify key drivers, and provide actionable insights. Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and making decisions under pressure.
Other Skills or Abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Experience with financial systems (e.g., TM1, SAP, Power BI) preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Adaptable, proactive, and results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
