Ansell is looking for Specialist, Regional Category Management (Surgical) to join our team in Malaysia.

In this position you will play a vital role in executing the defined APAC surgical portfolio market strategies, managing product portfolios, driving growth initiatives across the region, and providing sales support and pipeline reporting.

This role will be a key member of the GPMO team, working very closely with the commercial team and providing regular input and recommendations to the Senior Manager – RCM Surgical. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally are essential for this position.

What your role will be

Category & Portfolio Support

  • Assist in the execution of category growth plans and product lifecycle management.
  • Support the development and maintenance of product data, certifications, and claims documentation.
  • Help coordinate product launches, product changes, and discontinuations across the region.
  • Provide support on basic product & technical questions from Sales team & distributors.

Market & Sales Enablement

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to prepare sales tools, presentations, and training materials
  • Support in proofreading & coordination of translations.
  • Provide tender support by gathering necessary documents, certifications and samples in time.
  • Support sales and clinical teams in OR trials and conversions from latex to non-latex

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Maintain and update regional systems (e.g., SFDC, PIM, Asset Bank) with accurate product information.
  • Coordinate with RCM, supply chain and customer service to manage product availability and inventory allocation.
  • Support internal communications related to product changes, availability, and launches.
  • Support to maintain a sample stock to provide product training for internal stakeholders as well as distributors and customers

Data analysis facilitator

  • Review of relevant Salesforce data, linked towards opportunities for NPDs, key products and non-latex conversions
  • Based on above data, proactively reach out to relevant sales team to support where needed
  • Work with sales team and Market Intelligence to gather competitive info and market data such as market size, price level, market share, market trends, etc.
  • Based on gathered market intelligence information, work with RCM to provide recommendations on product improvements and portfolio updates

Voice of customer (VOC) tests support

  • Work with regional sales to schedule VOC trials for important product changes
  • Coordination of samples for VOC trials to the various regions.
  • Follow-up of trial status and collection & consolidation of surveys/feedbacks.
  • Work with RCM to provide recommendations to GCM team based on trial outcomes

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including Quality, Global Category team and marketing to ensure alignment on product initiatives

What will you bring to Ansell

  • Bachelor's degree ideally in Marketing, Economics, life sciences or another Business-related field
  • Experience in a B2B marketing, product management or sales support role
  • Knowledge of the medical device market is a plus
  • PC literate: thorough knowledge of PC, MS-Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience in any CRM related software is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, networking and collaboration abilities
