About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated
Specialist, Transaction Banking (SME / Commercial Sales) to join our team at RHB Transaction Banking. In this role, you will drive growth and utilization across a portfolio of SME and Commercial clients by delivering tailored transaction banking solutions. You will work closely with Relationship Managers (RMs), product teams, and clients to deepen engagement, optimize trade and cash management opportunities, and ensure seamless execution aligned with client needs and regulatory standards.
What You Will Be Doing
Strategy & Planning
- Build a deep understanding of customers business needs and decision-making processes within the assigned portfolio
- Manage and optimize Global Transaction Banking (GTB) opportunities to achieve targeted growth and KPIs
- Take full ownership of trade and cash utilization across the assigned portfolio
- Plan and execute customer engagements, serving as a key point of contact for clients and RMs
Sales & Marketing
- Track bill maturity, plan customer outreach, and forecast portfolio drawdowns
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Proactively engage customers to drive utilization and implement strategies to revive and grow trade and cash activity
- Promote and capture export business opportunities (e.g., LC negotiation/discounting)
- Reactivate, convert, and onboard clients onto Reflex Premium and TS Lite
- Promote cash management services and operating accounts to portfolio clients
People & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders including GBB RMs, Product Squads, Service Partners/Operations, and branches
- Provide market feedback, including competitor insights and capability gaps, to internal teams for continuous improvement
- Organize and lead regular account planning sessions and reviews with RMs and CBBCs
Governance
- Ensure strict compliance with the Bank's product guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements, including BNM guidelines and mandatory compliance training (e.g., customer data protection, responsible financing, fair treatment practices)
- Maintain strong audit performance and uphold governance standards
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in banking, transaction banking, or related financial services
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- Results-driven with a proactive and client-focused mindset
- Strong interest in transaction banking, trade finance, and cash management solutions
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements and banking compliance standards
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
