Specialist, User Acceptance Test

Overview

THE ROLE:

As part of the regional User Acceptance Test (UAT) team covering Asia Pacific and India, the UAT specialist will support the Go To Market Lead and QA Lead in to execute quality assurance specifically focusing on User Acceptance Test for digital transformation initiatives ensuring product requirements and quality are achieved. Additionally, this role requires cross functional collaboration with global teams, regional teams, market teams as well as external vendors to ensure successful go-lives.

Qualifications

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

• Manage and ensure business readiness in markets prior to implementation
• Understand the business requirements of projects or system enhancements
• Execute testing approach, test strategy, text execution plan and test cases
• Identify test data requirements and test data preparation/validation prior to testing starts
• Identify and arrange any tools and devices required and partner with market end user services team
• Develop and maintain a mutually agreed UAT project plan (resources, training schedule, documentation review, eligibility training, etc.)
• Perform test execution for both functional and non-functional, update test results, report, and track defects until closure.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks by supervisor and expect to deliver the same with minimal supervision.
• Promote UAT process improvement where appropriate.
• Adhere to organization standard process and policies strictly.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Skills:

• Strong understanding in Waterfall and Agile methodology.
• Strong understanding in Software Testing Life Cycle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Deliver tasks independently.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and issues.
• Ability to triage across multiple teams (business, SIT, and development) to resolve issues.
• ISTQB Certified tester, Foundation level (CTFL) will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding with automation test preferred.
  
  

Experience:

• At least 3 to 5 years of working experience with software testing and quality assurance.
• Bachelor's degree required Experience in coordinating and managing projects successfully.
• Proven track record of ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
• Experience in working with various stakeholders, including local markets, regional and global teams, and external vendors and agencies.
• Hands-on experience in managing end-to-end test activities such as test planning, test design, test execution and test closure.
• Hands-on experience in test deliverables development such as test plan, test cases/test scripts and test progress report.
