Position Description: Sr. Control Systems Engineer / OnSite Manager
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Automation orrelateddiscipline or related trade background.
- Experience in electrical design, understanding hardware and softwarerequirements,and translating to associated documentation and drawings.
- Experience in designing,developingand diagnosing PLC, RTU, HMI,SCADA,and network systems.
- Ability to interpret control system requirements and create functional design specifications (FDS), Interface Data Table (IDT), IO Summary,Cablesand termination schedules.
- Understanding electrical design and interpretation of requirements.
- AUTOCAD knowledge.
Project Delivery
- The Control Systems engineer will be involved in technical delivery of projects, including design (software & hardware), development,commissioningand verification & validation activities as direct by the project manager and/or lead engineer / Senior systems engineer.
- Work into the area of PLC, HMI, SCADA programming, power and control panel installation and commissioning, engineeringdrawingsand documentation.
- Lead development of PLC,SCADA,and HMI solutionsutilizingvendor agnostic automation platforms.
- Maintain awareness of project and task budgets (man-hoursfor design, documentation, programming,installationand commissioning effort) to ensure project scope is met withinallocatefinancial and schedule constraints.
- Perform FAT,SAT,and commissioning activities on site.
- Assistwith the development of designs as per project tender specifications toassisttheclient withproject delivery methodologies.
- Representthe clientas the technical representative to our clients during consulting, RFI response, technical clarificationmeetings,and project delivery phases.
- Work with sales and BD as directed toidentifyand evaluate new opportunities within existing and new markets andassistwith the preparation of tender and quotation responses.
- Work with assigned project teams to develop engineering solutions to address customers needs and requirements specified.

- Provide on-call services and maintenance (updates) support via call-out roster to SLA customers.
- Travel to customer sites, as required, to discuss project opportunities, carry out site investigations & audits, and findappropriate cost-effectivesolutions under the guidance of lead engineers and project managers.
- Provide inputs to process optimization of deployed existing solutions during upgrades or as requested by customers.
- Promote Zero Harm and always adhere to safety policies and procedures, including those of our customers when performing sitework.

- Internal: Build working relationships with Service Delivery site staff through system assessments, implementation of improvement actions and ongoing support. Engage with fellow engineering colleagues to further develop technical skillset.
- External: Build working relationships with our client base to enable successful completion of projects within predetermined constraints. Respond to customer requests in consultation with senior/lead engineers, projectmanagers,and Operations Manager.Assistour client base by understanding their business needs and drivers.
Physical Requirements of the Role
- Office based tasks, site work including audits, service, installation and commissioning, travel by car.
