The role
As a Senior Finance Executive within our General Ledger function, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our accounting operations for the Singapore entity. Beyond managing day-to-day GL activities, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and support the development of the broader regional finance team.
Main responsibilities :
- Own the end-to-end monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and timely preparation of financial statements for both local statutory and group reporting purposes
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management reports in compliance with local regulatory requirements and group reporting standards
- Support statutory compliance, including liaison with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant regulatory bodies
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders across functions and regions to resolve accounting queries and ensure alignment on financial matters
- Take on ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as required by the business
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualification (CPA, CA, or ACCA) is preferred
- At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in a GL or general accounting role, ideally within a regional or multinational environment
- Solid understanding of accounting standards (SFRS/IFRS)
- Meticulous, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to propose practical, scalable solutions
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracy
- Effective communicator with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels
- A collaborative team player who takes ownership and demonstrates initiative
- Proficiency in ERP systems is an advantage
