Ansell is looking for Sr Specialist Global Category Management (Scientific) to join our team in Malaysia.

In this position you will play a vital role in supporting and manage GCM projects across the product categories for the Scientific Business Unit. This position will be responsible for global product lifecycle management activities by assisting the GCM team in the areas such as: portfolio development and management, cross-functional support with strategic projects and new product development launches, product design changes and documentation development, and maintenance of online marketing/technical databases, assets and processes.

This role involves close collaboration with Regional Category Managers (RCMs), manufacturing sites (factories) and cross-functional teams to support key initiatives, and it offers an excellent opportunity to make an impact organization wide and elevate the position of the Kimtech brand to lead the world to a safer future.

What your role will be

You will have the opportunity to:

1)Lifecycle & Portfolio Optimization:

  • Assist the Associate Director GCM in managing product lifecycle and simplifying the portfolio to drive sales, improve profitability, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support GCM and RCM to implement category management-related projects.

2)Product Management and Improvement Projects:

  • Manage GCM projects to completionincluding product improvements, transfers, and new product developmentsensuring compliance with regulatory claims and specifications.
  • Support in consolidating feedback from factories/regions for timely project completion.
  • Update & maintain associated project trackers, dashboards or applications.
  • Coordinate product testing with in-house and/or external laboratories.
  • Act as bridge point between functional teams across factories and regional teams.

3)Product and technical support:

  • Oversee change management and maintain accuracy across all product-related content, including artwork briefs required for activation, product information databases, marketing collateral and digital assets updates, and product data sheets, while ensuring brand consistency through coordination with the branding team.
  • Works closely with GMPO Marketing & Digital teams to maintain correct data on online catalogues and Ansell Earth. Ensures sustainability claims are maintained on Ansell.com.
  • Work with QA team, operational and regional team to address product-related issues.

4)Market Communication Support

  • Summarise final product changes for regional communication purpose.
  • Supports in gathering & consolidating VOC feedback from RCMs/customers. Provides R&D and operational team with marketing VOC support and communicates key learnings from product evaluations.
  • Provides RCMs with accurate data and global marketing/regulatory requirements updates to ensure effective communication of projects and alignment on timing and regional impact.
  • Coordinates testing with in-house and/or external laboratories.
  • Coordinate sample requests and evaluations between factories, regional and global teams.
  • Participates in the implementation of appropriate product rationalization plans.

Any other activities at the request of the Associate Director, Scientific.

What will you bring to Ansell

  • Bachelor's degree ideally in Marketing, Business, Science, Engineering or related field
  • Prior exposure to/work experience in technical roles would an added advantage.
  • Experience with personal protective equipment (PPE) or other applicable regulated product categories is preferred.
  • Experience in global marketing in a matrix organization is preferred.
  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Smartsheet, or other project management tools.
  • Flexibility to work with different time zones as required (APAC/NA/EMEA, including participating in conference calls with global colleagues outside of standard working hours, if needed).
  • Limited domestic & overseas travel for internal product-related meetings.
