The Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Automation / Developer professional (Sr. Analyst / Staff Analyst / Section Manager) to join our dynamic team in Business Analytics, Planning & Reporting (BAPR). In this role, you'll drive automation initiatives, enhance reporting processes, and deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the Finance organization.

The Person
We're looking for a proactive, people-oriented professional with strong leadership and teamwork skills, along with solid finance acumen. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, business writing, and problem-solving abilities are essential. You should be comfortable working independently, interacting across all levels, and making data-driven recommendations. Experience in business intelligence, performance improvement, and project/people management is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to review automation opportunities by analyzing existing processes and assessing feasibility for automation.
- Review and understand users needs/requirements and develop strategies that meet those needs.
- Define, design, develop, deploy, and integrate new or modified automation to enhance Finance / reporting processes.
- Develop and maintain macro templates for data posting/integration with SAP system to efficiently automate daily tasks.
- Administer reporting portal & Snowflake Stewardship.
- Support reporting preparation, ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and coordination activities.
- Reconcile current automation architecture (target/reference/solution) to identify deficiencies, research alternatives, and determine improvements. Explore beyond present functions and propose new solutions and processes when applicable.
- Assist in developing automation recommendations, including associated pros and cons, to design solutions based on architecture strategy to meet the needs of AMD's data and process design.
Preferred Experience
- 6 to 7 years process automation experience in finance or accounting environment.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance or professional qualification.
- Proficient in automation tools and scripting such as VBA, Python, and RPA platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism).
- Experience in business intelligence, AI tools (such as Co-pilot or equivalents), Lean Six Sigma, and quality control.
- Skilled in working with multiple data sources using tools like Excel, Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, MS Access, and others.
- People management experience is added advantage.
Academic Credentials
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline preferred
