Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable machine learning models in production environments.
Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to identify, define, and prioritize machine learning use cases that drive business impact.
Manage the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, including data acquisition, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
Drive model optimization, hyperparameter tuning, and A/B testing to continuously improve model performance and reliability.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship, establishing best practices in machine learning engineering, MLOps, and software development standards.
Stay abreast of emerging ML/AI trends and technologies, evaluating their potential application to business challenges.
Communicate strategic, data-driven insights and influence technical and business decision-making at leadership levels.
Skills & Qualifications:
12+ years of experience in machine learning or data science roles, including 3+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
Expert-level proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
Proven track record of deploying and maintaining production-grade machine learning models.
Strong foundation in supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning algorithms and techniques.
Hands-on experience with data pipelines, MLOps practices, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, Azure ML).
Solid understanding of data engineering principles, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and large-scale data management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Bonus: Prior experience or exposure to process manufacturing industries, such as Pulp and Paper Manufacturing, Palm Oil Refining, or Viscose Fibre Manufacturing, is highly desirable.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field.
