KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Process and Production Management
- Ensure compliance with ISO procedures, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee production processes, address quality issues, and assist in steam plant and wastewater treatment operations.
2. Maintenance and Equipment Oversight
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and policies.
- Supervise workshop staff, contractors, and ensure proper functioning of all mechanical and electrical equipment.
3. Inventory and Laboratory Operations
- Manage inventory levels, engineering stores, and ensure stock availability.
- Conduct and oversee product quality tests, equipment calibration, and maintain lab standards.
4. Environmental and Safety Compliance
- Oversee effluent treatment, environmental reporting, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain workplace safety and a clean working environment.
5. Team and Resource Coordination
- Mobilize manpower, supervise team activities, and ensure operational goals are met efficiently.
- Provide support in training and guiding team members.
6. Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and report on production, maintenance, and quality performance.
- Implement improvements and ensure compliance with management systems like ISO 9001 and MSPO SCCS.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Grade 2 Steam Engineer Certificate Holder
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, MSPO SCCS, and safety standards (training will be provided if needed).
- 2 years experience in palm oil mill industry is beneficial.
- Good leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
