The Store Designer will be responsible for the implementation and customization of brand design standards into physical space. This position will be part of Visual Merchandising (VM) and Customer Experience Team and will be collaborating with internal and external parties to manage the execution of multiple end-to-end projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Translates brand design standards and concepts into physical space.
- Communicates effectively with cross-functional and external stakeholders to drive new stores, renovation, B2B space, roadshows and furniture upgrades.
- Support the design team in creating store layouts, floor plans, and 3D visualizations for new stores, remodels, and seasonal updates.
- Manage shop fitters with budget considerations and value engineering as required.
- Performs pre-design, post-demo, design walk-through and installation during site visits.
- In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, material specifications, and critical node details to provide on-site support during the renovation phase.
- Understand and implement customer journey and experience in retail space.
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandise Lead to ensure VM displays are updated accordingly.
- Oversee store maintenance, upgrades, and repairs with an offline team.
- Stay current on retail design trends, new materials, and innovative store solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 1+ year experience of experience in a commercial design, interior design, or architectural background (internships and freelance work are counted)
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-ray or similar 2D/3D design software.
- Good understanding of spatial planning, store flow, and customer experience principles.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- English proficiency in writing and verbal.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to retail or commercial design projects.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and lighting used in retail environments.
- Understanding of construction technicality and store fit-out processes.
- Skilled in strategic vendor and contract management to drive cost savings and maintain budget integrity.
