Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic planning
- Support development and maintenance of the Group's 35 year strategic plans and annual updates
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, market dynamics, competitor activity and regulatory changes to identify strategic risks and opportunities.
- Track, review and analyze hospital group operational performance and Balanced Scorecard results; translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Provide decision-support to senior management on investments, network strategy and expansion plans through scenario analysis and business cases.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute assigned tasks.
2. Business development & transactions
- Identify, evaluate and prioritize growth opportunities (organic, partnerships, M&A, new services/facilities).
- Build financial models, valuations and feasibility studies; prepare recommendations and investment memoranda.
- Coordinate and support end-to-end transaction execution (due diligence, negotiations, approvals, integration planning).
- Work with business unit heads to develop and operationalize growth strategies and new business processes.
- Establish and maintain tracking/monitoring frameworks for strategic initiatives and projects to ensure timely delivery and measurable outcomes.
- Lead or participate in special projects as assigned.
3. Other duties
- Perform other tasks as delegated by the Head of Strategic Planning & Business Development or Management.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field; MBA or professional qualification preferred.
- 5+ years (Manager) / 8+ years (Senior Manager) of relevant experience in strategy, corporate development, management consulting, investment banking, or healthcare business development preferably in hospitals or healthcare services.
- Proven experience in financial modelling, business case development and transaction execution.
- Strong analytical, financial and commercial acumen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Project management skills with attention to deadlines and deliverables.
- Collaborative, results-oriented and able to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and market research tools.
