A global MNC who specialises in components manufacturing based in Selangor seeks a top-tier Strategic Sourcing Manager based in Selangor.
Your new roleAs a Strategic Sourcing Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Execute sourcing and procurement activities by managing RFQs, negotiations, and purchase orders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Manage supplier relationships and contracts by drafting, negotiating, and overseeing agreements to ensure performance, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, efficiency, and value through building, local or global synergies, and market analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support procurement projects, align with business needs, and contribute to process improvements and digital transformation.
- Ensure procurement governance and compliance by adhering to ethical standards, sustainability goals, and accurate reporting of procurement metrics.
- Supervise and support the general procurement team in Malaysia, serving as the first line escalation focal point for operational matters.
- Prepare procurement and performance reports for the Malaysia scope and represent the Regional Manager in local management meetings when required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement.
- Industry experience in Automotive, Aviation or Aerospace is an added advantage
- Excellent spoken and written in English.
- Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in the usage of ERP tools
