Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to join our Strategic Planning & Corporate Strategy Office. This role will work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), and Senior Leadership Team to drive strategic planning, corporate governance, business performance monitoring, and high-impact strategic initiatives across the organisation.
The ideal candidate possesses strong business acumen, strategic thinking, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
Annual Strategic Planning & Mid-Year Review
- Coordinate and facilitate the Annual Strategic Planning and Mid-Year Review processes.
- Collaborate with the GCEO, CSO, Senior Leadership Team, Department Heads, and Business Owners to align strategic initiatives with organisational objectives.
- Support the preparation of Board-level strategic reports, presentations, and discussion materials.
- Monitor progress against strategic targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify performance gaps and provide recommendations to enhance execution and outcomes.
EXCOM & Sales Meetings Management
Meeting Coordination & Governance
- Prepare and coordinate discussion papers, business review materials, and presentation decks for Executive Committee (EXCOM) and Sales Meetings.
- Liaise with Business Units to ensure timely submission of meeting materials.
- Track, monitor, and follow up on:
- Action items
- Matters arising
- Agreed deliverables
- Milestones and timelines
- Ensure accountability and timely execution of decisions and resolutions.
Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
Business Transformation & Strategic Projects
- Assist the CSO in driving strategic initiatives and special projects assigned by the GCEO.
- Develop executive-level reports, project updates, business cases, and Board papers.
- Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and key deliverables.
- Ensure initiatives generate measurable business value and support organisational growth objectives.
- Recommend mitigation strategies to address project risks and implementation challenges.
Stakeholder Engagement & Market Intelligence
Executive Reporting & Strategic Insights
- Support the preparation of periodic reports and updates for key stakeholders, including:
- Board of Directors
- Shareholders
- Regulatory bodies
- Employees
- Conduct market research, competitor assessments, and industry benchmarking studies.
- Analyse market developments, emerging trends, economic outlooks, and competitive dynamics.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Strategic Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Strategic Planning, Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, Market Research, Business Analysis, or related disciplines.
