Overview
THE ROLE:
The Compliance Supervisor ensures adherence to Herbalife's Rules, the Sales and Marketing Plan, and regulatory requirements to protect consumers, Distributors, and the
company's reputation. This role leads strategic compliance initiatives, conducts proactive and reactive investigations, and supports training and quality efforts.
Success in this position requires strong analytical thinking, time management, and organizational agility. The Supervisor must communicate compliance expectations clearly, interpret data to assess risk, and develop effective solutions in a dynamic regulatory environment.
This role also demands strong leadership to guide compliance teams, foster collaboration, and drive performance through clear communication and strategic direction. The Compliance Supervisor must possess emotional intelligence, excellent interpersonal skills to build trust-based relationships with internal teams, Distributors, and external stakeholders, while managing conflict and diverse perspectives with professionalism.

- Lead and support the compliance team by providing clear direction, consistent coaching, and actionable feedback that drives performance and professional growth. Align team efforts with organizational objectives while cultivating a culture of excellence, accountability, and operational efficiency. Maintain strong communication through regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions, using these interactions to share updates on compliance initiatives, address concerns proactively, and reinforce expectations and strategic priorities.
- Establish and track team goals and performance metrics that reflect departmental and organizational priorities. Monitor progress consistently and adjust strategies as needed to ensure targets are met and exceeded.
- Ensure effective workload management and resource allocation to optimize team productivity and meet service level agreements. Balance responsibilities across the team to maintain high-quality output and operational consistency.
- Oversee the investigation and resolution of inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and impartiality. Ensure thorough documentation, timely resolution, and collaboration with legal and executive teams for high-impact or escalated issues.
- Conduct quality assurance assessments to evaluate the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of HNC reviews and case files. Collaborate closely with the Achieve team to ensure alignment with global standards, drive continuous improvement, and maintain operational excellence.
- Leverage data and insights to inform compliance strategy by conducting trend analysis, preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership, and contributing to the improvement of policies, procedures, and training programs that strengthen compliance awareness and readiness.
- Support change management efforts by guiding the team through organizational or regulatory transitions. Ensure smooth adaptation to new processes and maintain compliance continuity through clear communication and strategic planning.
- Apply emotional intelligence by recognizing and managing personal emotions, empathizing with others, and responding thoughtfully to team dynamics. Use emotional awareness to build trust, resolve conflicts constructively, and support a respectful and psychologically safe work environment.
Regional responsibilities may vary and can include the following activities:
- Travel may be required to attend strategic meetings, enabling direct collaboration, decision-making, and alignment on key business initiatives and/or to attend distributor conferences and serve as a trainer or spokesperson, ensuring effective communication and engagement with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Fluency in both written and spoken English, as well as regional languages, to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders inside and outside the company. (Will vary based on the region's needs
- Professionalism and clarity in all interactions, using strong business vocabulary and active listening to address concerns, and delivering accurate guidance.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills to guide Distributors and Members in compliance with Herbalife's rules, the Sales and Marketing Plan, and regulatory requirements.
- Adaptability and resilience in the face of change, uncertainty, and evolving regulatory environments.
- Combines strategic and analytical thinking to assess risks and make sound decisions under pressure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals in high-stakes compliance matters.
- High levels of integrity, discretion, and ethical conduct by consistently maintaining confidentiality, respecting cultural diversity, and upholding organizational values, particularly in the context of compliance-related decisions and the handling of sensitive information.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree (Required based on region).
Preferable qualifications:
- College or university degree in a relevant field such as Business, Law, Compliance, or Paralegal Studies.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English (China only).
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience at Herbalife in analytical or compliance-related functions such as Back Office Operations, Internal Audit, Compliance Programs, or Legal Affairs. (Internal only)
- In-depth knowledge of Herbalife's Rules and the Sales & Marketing Plan, with the ability to align compliance enforcement with business objectives. (Internal only)
- A minimum of 5 years of total professional experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
