Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on assessing, monitoring, and managing the performance of the company's suppliers.
  • Plan, manage and review supplier performance.
  • Evaluate and enhance the performance, quality, and compliance of suppliers.
  • Ensure quality consistency is maintained as per COA/standards.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build trust and improve collaboration with suppliers.
  • Describe and elaborate on the findings of the performance evaluation to all process stakeholders.
  • Assemble all the parts of the evaluation into a coherent and complete document.
  • Rate the current supplier maturity level and determine if a higher level of maturity is desired or required.
  • Determine the gap between the current state of supplier status and the desired state. Produce a graphical representation of the gap and quantify if possible.
  • Produce tactical and strategic recommendations with sufficient details to allow for informed decision making (i.e., costs, benefits, risks, schedule, priority, implementation approach, etc.)

Requirements

Experience Desired:

  • 7 years of experience in inspection of chemicals and packaging materials specialized in manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of international regulations and standards applicable to the company including ISO 13485.
  • Technical experience within the areas of Material Controls and Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience working with cross functions such as Quality Systems, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Sourcing, Regulatory and Technical.
  • Project management experience.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree holder with experience within material controls and supplier quality audits.
  • Knowledge of quality management system and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of materials and processes.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Potential travel up to 50%
  • Lean/SPC/Six Sigma is an added advantage.
  • Solid computer skills required, including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
