A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Supplier Quality Specialist, you responsible for permanent improvement of chemistry suppliers quality with focus on Asia suppliers with close cooperation with quality functions of the Asia based chemical plants and procurement teams. In this role, you will report to the Supplier Quality Assurance Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
1.Raw material batch quality
- Support corrective action implementation to prevent company production interruptions.
- Coordination supplier corrective action requests (SCAR) to Asia based chemical suppliers targeting the successful root cause analysis and a preventive action.
2.Supplier audits
- Coordination of Asia based chemistry supplier selection for supplier self-assessments.
- Selection of candidates for and coordination of physical supplier audits.
- Evaluation of the response incl. regular reporting to supervisor.
3.Company supplier quality system
- Continuous improvement of company's supplier quality improvement strategy and tools in consultation with the supervisor.
- Update of company's supplier self-assessment and audit guidelines to reflect lessons learned from quality complaints or learnings while audits.
- Collect company's customers expectations towards company's supplier quality system and reflect in alignment with supervisor.
- Checking and inserting the specification to App of new suppliers for introducing new suppliers or raw materials in collaboration with supervisor.
- Checking and updating the shelf life of the raw materials to be the same on the CoA of suppliers as in the SAP.
4.Supplier Quality Agreements improvement
- Check the Asian SQAs and participation in communication with suppliers and negotiation for their signature, reflect in alignment with supervisor.
- Checking which agreements, we have signed, and thus checking MCAs, so that as many customers with MCA contracts as possible also have SQA support for raw materials behind in cooperation with supervisor.
5.Internal training
- Upgrade company's supplier audit e-learning system.
- Regular internal audit feedback and lessons learned meetings to identify needs to improve company's suppliers audit forms.
- Further training of Asia based auditing colleagues.
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in similar role.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of chemistry, technical chemistry, synthesis chemistry or analytical chemistry.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
- Willingness to travel on business trips.
- Ability for team work.
- Good communication skills.
- Service oriented and resilient.
- Ability to work independently.
