The Supply Chain & Customer Service Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving business growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and cash optimisation for Lysaght Malaysia.
This role is accountable for end-to-end supply chain planning, customer service operations, and logistics execution, ensuring optimal balance between demand, supply, inventory, cost-to-serve, and service excellence. The position integrates supply chain strategy with customer order fulfilment to deliver reliable product availability, responsive delivery, and superior customer experience while optimising working capital and operational costs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Integrate End-to-End Supply Chain & Customer Service - Integrate demand planning, supply planning, logistics, and customer service into a seamless, customer-centric operating model.
- Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Excellence - Lead the S&OP and MPS processes to align demand, supply, inventory, and capacity with business strategy.
- Deliver Customer Service Excellence - Ensure on-time, in-full delivery performance while maintaining accurate order processing, timely invoicing, and proactive customer communication.
- Optimise Inventory, Cash Flow & Cost-to-Serve - Maintain healthy inventory levels, minimise aged stock and provisioning, and optimise total supply chain costs.
- Build High-Performing Teams & Leadership Capability - Develop strong team capability across supply chain planning, customer service, and logistics through clear KRAs, coaching, and leadership.
- Embed Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Culture - Champion OHSE compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, and adoption of best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years experience in supply chain and/or customer service within a manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience within the steel/ construction industry to enable strong product and application knowledge would be added advantage.
- Strong exposure to S&OP, Customer Service & Supply Chain, inventory management, and logistics operations.
