Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Director with hands-on FMCG experience to lead our end-to-end supply chain operations from our Malaysia headquarters. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of the chain—from product management and sales planning to procurement, inventory, warehouse operations, 3PL management, channel fulfillment, and last-mile packaging. Your goal is to ensure high fulfillment rates while achieving optimal cost structures, healthy inventory levels, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities (End-to-End Management)

1. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

  • Lead company-wide sales forecasting and demand planning; collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to balance supply and demand.
  • Establish a rolling S&OP process and chair cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment between planning and execution.

2. Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Formulate annual/quarterly procurement strategies and oversee factory sourcing and negotiations.
  • Establish a supplier performance evaluation system to optimize cost, lead times, and quality.

3. Inventory & Product Management

  • Manage end-to-end inventory planning, ABC classification, and turnover optimization to minimize obsolete stock and out-of-stock risks.
  • Coordinate with Marketing on Product Lifecycle Management (NPI & EOL) to ensure efficient supply chain responsiveness across multiple markets.

4. Warehouse & Logistics Optimization

  • Take full ownership of 3PL operations and distribution network design across various markets; resolve efficiency issues in decentralized regional warehousing.
  • Drive warehouse layout optimization, WMS integration, and packaging standardization to improve fulfillment speed and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with 3PL and courier partners to design cross-border logistics solutions that reduce total landed costs.

5. Cost Control & Efficiency

  • Build an end-to-end cost model to identify optimization opportunities (procurement, carrying costs, transit, and packaging).
  • Leverage AI tools and data analytics to enhance decision-making, forecast accuracy, and cost efficiency.

6. Systems & Digital Transformation

  • Evaluate and lead the implementation or upgrade of IT systems to achieve real-time data sharing and automation.
  • Utilize AI and Big Data for demand forecasting, inventory simulation, and anomaly alerts.

7. Cross-functional Coordination & Risk Management

  • Sync front-end (Sales/Marketing) with back-end (Factories/Logistics) to handle exceptions.
  • Establish risk-warning mechanisms for SE Asian challenges (e.g., currency fluctuations, policy shifts, and supply chain disruptions).

8. Team Leadership & Resource Integration

  • Build and manage a high-performing supply chain team.
  • Leverage existing overseas (specifically SE Asia) networks to quickly connect with premium factories, logistics providers, and tech vendors.

Qualifications

1. Professional Background:

  • 8+ years of end-to-end supply chain management experience in FMCG (Personal Care, Household, F&B, etc.), managing portfolios with 1,000+ SKUs.
  • At least 3 years of overseas hands-on experience (across Southeast Asia countries preferred).
  • Proven track record in multi-country/cross-border operations and optimizing logistics networks in markets like Malaysia, Vietnam, or Thailand, with documented cost or efficiency wins.
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin (for meetings, documentation, and seamless communication with Singaporean, Malaysian, China and Vietnamese teams).

2. Core Competencies:

  • Systemic Thinking: Ability to view the chain from demand to delivery and provide holistic solutions rather than siloed fixes.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional cross-cultural communication skills. Expert at implementing S&OP processes and managing conflict. Focuses on active listening, empathy, building trust, and accountability.
  • Digital Literacy: Proficiency in ERP/MRP and WMS systems. Experience in driving digital transformation using AI and data analysis tools to support decision-making.
  • Strategic Execution: Data-driven mindset with strong cost-control awareness and the ability to maintain continuous improvement under pressure.

3. Leadership - proven leadership and experience in managing large across functional team with diverse background
