Job Description

About the Role

The Supply Chain Executive (Mandarin Speaker) will manage end-to-end procurement and logistics operations for Malaysia and Singapore, covering supplier sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, cost control, customs compliance, and regional logistics coordination. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of materials and services to support project execution and operational expansion across Southeast Asia

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate procurement, supplier, customs, and compliance records for audit purposes.
  • Support pre-tender and tender activities, including cost estimation and supplier feasibility analysis.Manage end-to-end procurement and sourcing, including RFQs, vendor evaluation, bid analysis, and supplier negotiation.
  • Source and develop qualified suppliers across Malaysia, Singapore, and Southeast Asia.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and performance.
  • Monitor procurement costs, budgets, and project spending, while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Handle import/export, customs clearance, trade compliance, and procurement documentation.
  • Coordinate air freight, sea freight, courier, and cross-border shipments across Southeast Asia.
  • Monitor shipment progress and expedite urgent deliveries to support project requirements.
  • Liaise with project, engineering, finance, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, logistics, or supply chain, preferably within engineering, industrial projects, or manufacturing.
  • Experience working in the Malaysian and/or Singapore business environment is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of customs, import/export regulations, trade compliance, and HS classification.
  • Experience with RFQ, supplier evaluation, bid analysis, negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with air/sea freight, cross-border logistics, and customs documentation.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, cost analysis, and budget monitoring.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; ERP/procurement system experience is an advantage.
  • Strong English communication skills; Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, or other regional languages are highly valued.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work effectively under tight timelines and across multiple countries.
  • Willing to be based in Johor Bahru and travel to Singapore and other Southeast Asian locations when required.
