Responsibilities
- Responsible for all end to end Supply Chain activities and associated costs within the Malaysia business. Has a very strong emphasis on customer service to our stores, management of stock levels both quality and quantity from a service and cost perspective.
- Require a high degree of cooperation and coordination between departments particularly Merchandising, Finance and Operations, thus an excellent interpersonal skill are important.
- Responsible for all business processes that relate to end to end supply chain referring to store ordering, stock purchasing, promotion allocations and so on.
- Responsible to ensure all purchases orders released to vendors are in strict compliance with company policy.
- Required to challenge the ways the company execute supply chain and constantly look for improvement and always working toward best practice.
- Responsible for all stock held in the business, this requires a constant vigilance over all categories and a high degree of tenacity in order to meet company targets.
- Requires working closely with the merchandizing team to ensure stock flows into the business in a timely manner and distributed to meet expectations of the business.
- Requires the sign off on all stock purchased by the business on a high degree of attention on how much stock and how often it should be purchased is critical in this position.
- Require from time to time challenging decisions relating to stock but that again is achieving the balance between investment and the potential realization of Sales.
- Build a strong relationship with operations management so a good healthy relationship constantly challenging the way we do business is essential.
- Regular review of supplier fill rates is critical to the position and meeting and understanding your vendor community is important. It is also important you work as a team with merchandizing and not been seen as separate group within the business.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators as they relate to stock management and individual categories.
- Ensure on shelf availability targets are met and take proactive steps to mitigate risk in this area.
- Responsible for the return of stocks from the Stores to the Suppliers.
- Ensure that the service provided to the stores is first class and complimentary to the overall realization of business sales.
- Ensure that all forms of stock reconciliation are both clearly understood and executed and any variations to the agreed standard are immediately reported to the Finance Manager in the first instance.
- Ensure warehousing and distribution key performance indicators are in place and they reflect the support of the business required.
- To prepare annual plans and budget along with contribution toward strategic plans of the business.
- To coach, mentor, motivate and develop the supply chain team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree ideally in Supply Chain Management, statistics or any related field.
- Language: Chinese (preferable able to speak fluently and understand Chinese), Malay and English
- Minimum 5 yrs working experience in supply & demand planning, analytics, data, insights and strategy.
- Strong analysis skill and project management.
- Commercial knowledge would be an added advantage.
- Advance Microsoft office skills, SQL and/or other business intelligence (eg : tableau/Power BI)
