Job Description
Role: Supply Chain Officer
Industry: Aerospace MRO / Aviation / Aircraft Manufacturing / Semiconductor / Oil and Gas
Working Duration: 12 months – renewable subjected to business needs and performance
Working Location: Shah Alam, Selangor
Working Day/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM, with the possibility of overtime depending on operational requirements.
Salary: Salary up to RM 2500 (Based on experience + skills) + statutory contribution + leave entitlement + medical insurance
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for executing and coordinating end-to-end supply chain activities to support operational efficiency within the organization. This role covers procurement, logistics coordination, and warehouse operations, ensuring materials and services are sourced, delivered, stored, and managed effectively to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Execute procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services.
B. Maintain strong understanding of procurement processes and ensure compliance with company policies.
C. Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, cost competitiveness, and quality standards.
D. Liaise with logistics providers to support smooth inbound and outbound shipment activities.
E. Prepare and maintain documentation for shipping, receiving, and customs requirements.
F. Monitor and follow up on delivery schedules, transportation arrangements, and shipment status.
G. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
H. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
I. Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to manage stock levels and replenishment.
J. Work closely with internal teams such as quality, production, procurement, and logistics to ensure alignment and efficient operations.
K. Support site audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
DIMENSIONS:
Record any measurable statistics which your position impacts such as production expenses, maintenance expenses, sales volumes, payroll costs, capital expenditures, research budgets, cost of purchases, value of inventories controlled, employees supervised (direct and indirect).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve any issues that may impact business continuity.
• Monitoring of site audit schedule to ensure audits and subsequent actions completed on time
Requirements:
• Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain / Logistics Management or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0 - 2 years of experience in procurement, shipping, receiving, or logistics, preferably in the Aerospace MRO industry.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, shipping and receiving processes, inventory management, and quality inspection procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Aerospace industry standards and regulations.
• SAP knowledge would be a plus.
