About the Role
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) is accelerating its digital transformation journey and we are looking for a Supply Chain Strategy Lead (AI & Digital Transformation) to drive the next wave of innovation across our procurement, warehouse, and material planning ecosystem.
This is a high-impact role responsible for shaping and executing a 3–5 year AI roadmap that will transform PTP's supply chain into a predictive, automated, and data-driven operating environment aligned with global port digitalization standards.

What You Will Be Driving
AI Strategy & Roadmap Development
- Develop and execute a 3–5 year AI transformation roadmap for Supply Chain.
- Identify high-impact AI use cases across procurement, warehouse, and planning.
- Conduct ROI analysis and business case development.
- Present strategic recommendations to senior management.
AI Implementation & System Integration
- Lead end-to-end AI and automation initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT, ERP (RAMCO), WMS, and external vendors for seamless system integration.
- Oversee data governance, model performance, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure successful user adoption and operational integration.
Procurement Transformation
- Implement AI-driven spend analytics and supplier risk scoring.
- Enable predictive price forecasting and compliance automation.
- Improve tender cycle efficiency and sourcing strategy.
Warehouse & Inventory Optimization
- Deploy predictive inventory and demand forecasting models.
- Improve Inventory Rate Accuracy (IRA).
- Enhance warehouse efficiency through AI-enabled slotting and resource allocation.
Material Planning Enhancement
- Establish predictive planning models for maintenance and operational materials.
- Improve forecast accuracy and reduce emergency purchases.
- Increase digital visibility across planning cycles.
Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure AI initiatives comply with procurement policy, HSSE standards, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Implement explainable AI frameworks and audit-ready documentation.
- Strengthen data integrity and reduce manual errors.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Certifications in AI/ML, Data Analytics or Digital Transformation are advantageous.
Experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience in automation, analytics or digital transformation roles.
- Proven track record delivering AI solutions in operational environments.
- Experience working with ERP systems (RAMCO preferred).
- Exposure to procurement, warehouse, or material planning functions is a strong advantage.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, BI platforms and analytics tools.
- Solid understanding of supply chain operations.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
