Surveyor Utility-Scale Solar PV Projects (HQ Based)

We are looking for a Surveyor to join our solar farm projects. You will do two main kinds of work: ground survey using RTK-GPS, and drone survey for LiDAR and photo mapping. You will work alongside the project team and the construction subcontractors, based in the office and out on site as the work requires. You do not need to know all of this already - we will train you. What matters most is that you want to learn and you are willing to pick up new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set out fence lines, PV piling points, MV stations and control buildings on site.
• Set up and maintain the site datum, baseline and control points.
• Plan and fly drone missions for LiDAR and photo mapping.
• Check pile positions, trench depths and earthwork volumes during construction.
• Compare new survey data against existing data and report what you find - including how accurate it is and what affected it on the day.

Expected Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar. Real survey experience counts
• too if you do not have the paper.
• Fresh graduate up to 2 years. We will train you on the technical side.
• Willing to learn, and quick about it - we keep bringing in new survey technology.
• Honest about your data, including when the result is not good enough.
• Happy working outdoors and travelling to project sites.
• Drone pilot license (RCOC-B) is a plus - we can arrange it if you do not have one.
• Safety induction and site training are arranged by the company.
