  • Advising on Group Treasury & Market (GTM) Legal documentation and providing relevant guidance and advice on related issues.
  • Providing legal opinion on technical issues with legal impact.
  • Assisting front office, support teams and other stakeholders in resolving issues on documentation and provide relevant legal advice.
  • Reviewing templates and updating where required according to the Bank's policies or legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiating market standard documents and reviewing and advising on other GTM product related contracts.
  • Providing training on documentation as and when required by stakeholders.
  • To establish good working relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
  • To facilitate timely turnaround of documents.
  • To ensure high quality of documentation and legal advice provided.
  • To engage and manage external counsel appointment to advise in legal issues when required.
  • Manage administrative issues involving GTM legal documentation and safe custody of original documents.
  • Provide legal input on policies relating to GTM products.
  • To manage development of staffs and self through relevant courses and training.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10 15 years of experiences in legal practice or banking institution specializing in Treasury documentation.
  • Reasonable level of knowledge in Treasury Products including FX, Equity, Repos & Structured Products.
  • Relevant experience in Islamic Treasury documentation.
  • Knowledgeable in ISDA related material and familiarity with ISDA templates.
  • Admitted to the Malaysian BAR.
