System Analyst - Banking

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced System Analyst to support a banking-related Project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for system analysis, application integration, technical solutioning, deployment, environment management and production support. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful project implementation throughout the application lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring technical solutions meet business requirements and project timelines.
• Analyse existing systems, identify technical gaps and recommend appropriate system improvements.
• Manage application integration and provide technical solutioning for project requirements.
• Review technical specifications, system documentation and solution designs.
• Coordinate and support application deployment, code migration and implementation activities.
• Manage project environment issues, application availability and uptime support.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application issues and production incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with relevant technical teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support system testing, implementation and post-deployment validation.
• Work closely with business users, developers, infrastructure teams and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical support during critical implementation activities, including outside normal office hours when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a System Analyst or in a related technical role.
• Experience in banking, financial services or financial applications will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of application integration, system analysis and technical solutioning.
• Experience in the full application lifecycle within a distributed system design and development environment.
• Hands-on exposure to code migration, deployment, implementation and environment management.
• Experience in production support, incident management and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced working environment and willing to embrace new technologies.
• Willing to support critical project activities outside normal working hours when required.

Contract Details

• 15-month contract engagement.
• Work location: Kelana Jaya (Nearby LRT)
• Open to Malaysian candidates only.
