System Analyst, Banking Products (1-year renewable contract)

Key Responsibilities

. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, identify business challenges, and define system requirements for new projects and system enhancements.

. Analyse existing systems and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimisation.

. Translate complex business requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications, use cases, user stories, process flows, and other relevant documentation.

. Work closely with development teams, solution architects, and quality assurance teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure solutions meet business objectives and technical standards.

. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather requirements, communicate findings, and obtain stakeholder alignment and approval.

. Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect analysis to ensure the quality and integrity of delivered solutions.

. Assist in preparing training materials and provide post-implementation support to end users.

. Participate in project planning, risk assessment, change management, and coordination activities.

. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in system analysis and banking technology.

Key Requirements

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing, or a related field.

. Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

. Proven ability to gather, analyse, and document complex business and system requirements.

. Proficiency in developing process maps, flowcharts, use cases, user stories, and other analytical documentation.

. Familiarity with banking products, particularly credit origination or related domains, as well as banking operations and regulatory requirements.

. Understanding of system integration principles, database concepts, SQL, and Unix operating systems.

. Basic working experience with job schedulers, PuTTY, database access tools, and online and batch integration protocols.

. Familiarity with project management and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.

. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

. Good time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
