Job Description

About the Role

Finexus is transforming how we attract, develop, and retain exceptional people. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you won't just fill vacancies, you'll help shape the talent engine that powers our growth and innovation. This role is perfect for a recruiter who thrives in a fast-evolving environment, enjoys building relationships, and takes pride in connecting great people with meaningful opportunities. You'll work closely with hiring managers, the HR team, and external partners to attract and engage top talent across technical, non-technical, and internship roles.

We build the technology that keeps banking and payments in Malaysia running every day — and we need the right people to make it happen.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across all levels and roles — from professional and technical positions to frontline operational staff — ensuring a smooth, efficient process from sourcing to offer.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines, leveraging job portals, databases, referrals, and social platforms.
  • Track and analyze sourcing channel performance and campaign ROI; recommend adjustments to improve efficiency.
  • Screen candidates for technical, functional, and cultural fit, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute career fairs and hiring events, including pre-event prep and post-event reporting with measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and provide data-backed hiring recommendations.
  • Maintain clear reporting on open roles, time-to-fill, sourcing effectiveness, and hiring trends.
  • Ensure a high-quality candidate experience through consistent communication and timely feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Building

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and define ideal candidate profiles.
  • Craft compelling job postings and distribute them across relevant platforms.
  • Proactively source both active and passive candidates via LinkedIn, referrals, and other channels.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Track sourcing effectiveness and adjust strategies for better results.

Success looks like: Healthy, diverse talent pipelines are in place before roles are opened, with a steady flow of quality candidates to choose from.

2. Candidate Selection & Experience

  • Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, and manage interview scheduling.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with candidates at every stage of the process.
  • Deliver a professional, positive candidate experience that reflects our employer brand.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records.

Success looks like: Candidates consistently report a smooth, respectful, and engaging hiring process — even if they are not selected.

3. Recruitment Operations & Compliance

  • Manage the recruitment process from requisition to onboarding, ensuring timelines are met.
  • Collaborate with our HR Operations team on offers, contracts, and onboarding activities.
  • Oversee foreign talent hiring, including MDEC processes and work pass applications.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and data protection standards.

Success looks like: Hiring processes run smoothly, meet legal requirements, and complete within agreed timelines, with minimal errors or delays.

4. Employer Branding & Market Engagement

  • Support employer branding activities, including career fairs, campus outreach, and recruitment campaigns.
  • Communicate the Company's Vision, Business and Growth journey to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Stay updated on recruitment trends, sourcing tools, and best practices.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with headhunters, agencies, and other talent partners.

Success looks like: We are recognised as an attractive and forward-moving employer, drawing in candidates who align with our culture and growth ambitions.

What You'll Bring

  • 2-3 years of recruitment experience, covering technology, corporate, and/or operational roles; preferably with experience recruiting for technical roles.
  • Strong expertise in sourcing, interviewing, pipeline management, and hiring-event execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — able to influence decisions with confidence and clarity.
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented — able to manage multiple priorities with composure.
  • Collaborative mindset — thrives in team environments and shares knowledge to uplift others.
  • Growth mindset — ready to evolve from recruiter to strategic talent partner.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin is a strong advantage.

Why Join Finexus

At Finexus, we're building more than systems — we're building a culture that values clarity, growth, and excellence. As part of the Talent Acquisition team, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing in the people who power the business and strengthening the talent foundation that supports Finexus growth.
