Our client, a global payments firm is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support experienced hiring across mid- to senior-level roles. The role sits within the AP talent acquisition team and would suit someone with strong end-to-end recruitment experience, ideally gained across agency and in-house environments, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation. Sector experience in fintech or consulting would be beneficial.

The role is based in Kuala Lumpur and operates on a hybrid model, with 3 days per week in the office. The consultant will support hiring across multiple business units in Japan, with the opportunity to contribute to broader international hiring activity.

What you will be doing

  • Partner with business leaders, People Business Partners, and other stakeholders to understand current and future hiring needs
  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment for mid- to senior-level roles across multiple business units in Japan, with the opportunity to support international hiring initiatives
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies using direct sourcing, talent mapping, networking, and digital channels
  • Act as a trusted advisor through the hiring process, including candidate management, interview coordination, assessment support, and guidance on selection decisions
  • Support employer branding activity aligned to business priorities and market trends
  • Provide stakeholders with updates, reporting, and market intelligence to support hiring decisions
  • Maintain compliance and data integrity across recruitment systems and processes
  • Contribute ideas to improve hiring strategies and overall talent acquisition effectiveness

Your background

  • 5-8 years of experience in end-to-end recruitment
  • Experience across agency and/or in-house recruitment environments, ideally with exposure to both
  • Strong knowledge of the Southeast Asia/AP talent landscape
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and stakeholder groups in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Strong capability in using data and market insights to inform recruiting strategies and stakeholder conversations
  • Experience building relationships with hiring managers and business partners at different levels of seniority.
  • Hands-on experience with ATS platforms, sourcing tools, and social media recruiting
  • Strong stakeholder management, proactive problem solving, and a collaborative working style
  • Fluency in English and Malay
  • Mandarin or Cantonese language skills would be advantageous
