Tax Associate / Consultant

Join our tax team in Penang, Malaysia!

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tax compliance, tax computation and tax consulting, while working closely with clients and experienced tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tax computations and tax return forms and manage tax compliance matters for a portfolio of clients.
• Assist in handling tax consulting assignments under the guidance of the Manager.
• Coordinate and monitor tax compliance and consulting assignments to ensure timely completion and quality deliverables.
• Identify potential tax planning opportunities and provide support in developing tax-efficient solutions for clients.
• Build and maintain positive and trusted relationships with clients.
• Provide professional and responsive client service and assist clients with their tax-related queries.
• Keep up to date with relevant tax developments and regulations.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, and/or a professional accounting qualification.
• Fresh graduate with strong passion is encouraged to apply.
• Good command of English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Meticulous, organized and able to work within deadlines.
• Proactive, self-driven and willing to learn.
• A good team player who can also work independently.
• Strong sense of integrity and a positive working attitude.
