Responsibilities
What Can You Expect As a Tax Intern, you will be aligned to one of the following Tax practices, depending on business needs and your academic background: Corporate Tax (CPTX) You will support corporate tax compliance and advisory work, including: . Assisting tax consultants in managing client portfolios and related assignments . Supporting teams in specific client engagements and advisory projects . Gaining exposure to corporate tax compliance and documentation processes Global Mobility Services (GMS) You will support employers and assignees on mobility related matters, including: . Assisting consultants and immigration specialists with job portfolios . Supporting client engagements related to employee tax and immigration matters . Gaining insight into how tax and immigration intersect with HR matters Indirect Tax Practice (ITP) You will gain exposure to indirect tax matters across various industries by: . Assisting senior team members and managers on indirect tax assignments . Supporting engagements relating to Sales Tax, Service Tax, Customs duties, GST, and related legislation . Liaising with government authorities on tax matters, under supervision . Working in teams on client engagements and advisory projects Tax Dispute Resolution (TDR) You will gain insight into tax risk management, audits, and investigations by: . Supporting tax consultants on tax dispute and audit related assignments . Assisting teams on advisory projects involving tax audits and investigations . Learning how organizations manage tax risks and interactions with tax authorities Transfer Pricing (TP) You will support transfer pricing engagements by: . Assisting tax consultants in managing job portfolios and assignments . Supporting teams on transfer pricing documentation and advisory projects . Requirements
Who We're Looking For: We welcome enthusiastic students who are eager to learn and gain real world exposure in taxation. Requirements: . Undergraduates who have completed at least two (2) years of their degree studies in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, HR, or related disciplines . Excellent command of spoken and written English . Active participation in extracurricular activities, with leadership qualities being an advantage . Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team .
