Job Brief

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Manager to oversee day-to-day tax compliance and reporting for corporate clients. The successful candidate will support the Tax Directors in managing corporate tax, indirect tax, and statutory filings, while supervising and guiding a team of tax executives. This role offers exposure to complex tax matters and opportunities to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant tax operations.

Job Responsibilities

- Oversee and ensure timely preparation and submission of corporate tax, GST/SST, withholding tax, and other tax returns.

- Coordinate and liaise with tax authorities, external auditors, and internal stakeholders on tax compliance matters.

- Assist in planning and implementing tax compliance strategies to minimize risk and ensure adherence to regulations.

- Supervise and guide a team of tax executives and assistants in daily operations.

- Support the Tax Directors in tax audits, assessments, and any statutory filings.

- Provide support for ad-hoc tax-related projects and assignments as required.

Job Requirements

- Recognized university degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting qualification preferred (MIA/CTIM).

- Minimum 7 years of relevant tax experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

- Solid knowledge of direct and indirect tax legislation and compliance requirements in Malaysia.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proven leadership abilities.

- Self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks, and a good team player.
